Jacobs Forms Delivery Partnership With Scottish Water to Deliver Water Infrastructure Capital Program in Scotland

Jacobs Logo Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that Jacobs is to lead the program management and engineering design being delivered by the new Scottish Water Solutions partnership in Scotland. The new joint venture company brings together Scottish Water with Jacobs Engineering UK Ltd, Veolia Water UK Plc and Laing O'Rourke Infrastructure Ltd. Jacobs is also expected to provide health and safety leadership and asset maintenance advice.

Scottish Water Solutions will deliver in excess of $720 million of Scottish Water's new Capital Investment Program over the duration of five years, which is one of the largest in the UK water industry at $4 billion.

Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Climate Change; Stewart Stevenson said:

"I welcome this new joint venture as it is expected to play a vital role in supporting Scottish Water's mission and objectives."

Geoff Aitkenhead, Scottish Water's Asset Management Director and Scottish Water Solutions' chairman said:

This is a partnership with an exciting blend of the right skills and brings best practice from the private sector to bear on the delivery of public water and waste water treatment infrastructure. We are delighted that the new Scottish Water Solutions partners will be at the forefront of delivering capital efficiency."

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Bob Duff stated:
