AMEC Awarded Major Framework Contract by Thames Water
AMEC has been awarded a major framework contract by Thames Water to install new or replacement water meters in London and the Thames Valley. The performance-related contract, the value of which has not been disclosed, will run for up to 10 years and will involve installations at over 200,000 properties in its first five year period.
The work is part of a major asset management programme being undertaken by Thames Water to maintain and upgrade its facilities and it reinforces AMEC's position as a leading provider of services to the UK's water infrastructure sector.
AMEC already works for a range of clients across the UK, providing water-engineering services. It is currently working on service contracts or capital projects for Anglian Water, Scottish Water, Severn Trent, Thames Water, United Utilities, Welsh Water and Yorkshire Water under their current asset management programmes or other schemes.
