Jacobs Receives Contract From Northern Lights Partnership

Jacobs Engineering has received a contract from the Northern Lights Partnership (a joint venture of Synenco Energy Inc. and SinoCanada Petroleum Corporation, a subsidiary of Sinopec Group) to serve as the owner's engineer for the Northern Lights Project in Alberta, Canada.

The Northern Lights Project is an oil sands mining, bitumen extraction, and upgrading facility. Upon completion, the facility will produce 100,000 barrels per day of light, sweet synthetic crude over a 30-year period. Jacobs is working as an integrated team with the Northern Lights Partnership owners to manage the majority of the overall project and to ensure the project meets all business drivers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
