Jacobs Receives Schwarz Pharma Contract

A Jacobs Engineering Group subsidiary has received a contract to provide engineering and procurement for the development of a new active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing facility at Schwarz Pharma's manufacturing site in Shannon, County Clare, Ireland.

The Fesoterodine Project requires modification to the existing process equipment along with procurement of new equipment for the existing building and an extension to the north side of the production building. The construction of a shell extension to the south side of the production building is included for future expansion capabilities.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Phil Stassi stated, "This planned expansion is an important milestone in Schwarz Pharma's investment strategy for Ireland, and we are proud to be part of it. We are excited about this project and the opportunity to build our relationship with Schwarz Pharma."
