Tissue Sampling of Nuclear Workers

Following media reports of historic tissue sampling of workers at Sellafield, UKAEA will be reviewing its records for all UKAEA sites for any relevant data. Tissue sampling of the sort described is not current in UKAEA and the review will focus on historical data.

UKAEA want to ensure that full information is available to reassure families of former employees, who may be worried by these reports. UKAEA will participate in any investigation which may be established to look into this subject and to furnish the investigation with any relevant UKAEA data.
