Jacobs Receives Oil Sands Project
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc.
has announced that it received a contract from a major Oil & Gas Company for engineering of a thermal facility in northeast Alberta, Canada.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
Jacobs will perform pre-engineering design specifications (Pre-EDS), EDS, detailed engineering, and procurement services for the in-situ oil sands central processing facility.
Engineering activities began November 2008, and Jacobs is scheduled to complete its scope in February, 2011, executing 20 percent or more of the engineering from its Mumbai, India, office.
