Technip Awarded BP Contract For Extension Of PTA Plant08/01/2007
Technip awarded services contract by BP for extension of production capacity of a purified terephthalic acid or PTA(1) plant located in Geel, Belgium. The contract, which covers the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) of the development, will be executed by a team integrated with the client.


Subsea 7 Awarded Contract by Shell in Brazil08/01/2007
Subsea 7 awarded contract by BC-10 Consortium, operated by Shell Brasil Ltda for development of the BC10 fields, in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil. All engineering and project management work will be conducted at Subsea 7's Brazilian offices and the fabrication of all rigid flowlines and jumpers will be conducted at their spool base in Brazil.


Shaw Awarded Contract for Propane Dehydrogenation Facility Project in Thailand08/01/2007
Shaw Group Inc. announces that a consortium of its Shaw Stone & Webster unit and CTCI Corporation of Taiwan, Republic of China, has been awarded a contract to provide engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) services to HMC Polymers Company Limited for a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant to be located in Map Ta Phut, Rayong, Thailand. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2009 with planned production of 300,000 metric tons per year of propylene.


BG Signs Up for Two New Liquefied Natural Gas Ships08/01/2007
BG Group signs an agreement with Samsung Heavy Industries Co Limited of South Korea for the delivery of two new-build dual-fuel diesel electric (DFDE) LNG ships. The new ships will each have a cargo capacity of 170,000 cubic-metres (m3) and are scheduled to be delivered in 2010.


Technip Wins Hydrogen Plant Contract in Poland08/01/2007
Technip awarded engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) lump sum contract by PKN Orlen for a hydrogen plant, to be located at its refinery in Plock, Poland. Technip's operations and engineering centre in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands, will execute the contract.


Jacobs Receives Canadian Natural Horizon Construction Contract10/01/2007
Jacobs Engineering Group receives contract from Canadian Natural Resources Limited (Canadian Natural) to proceed with construction of a naphtha hydrotreater for Phase 1 of Canadian Natural's Horizon Oil Sand Project located north of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.

Jacobs Engineering Group receives contract from the City of Bakersfield, Calif., to provide construction management services for the city's Wastewater Treatment Plant #3 expansion. The three-year project has a value of $140 million.


Foster Wheeler Wins Clean Fuels Project In Turkey10/01/2007
Foster Wheeler Ltd's Istanbul-based subsidiary Foster Wheeler Bimas Birlesik Insaat ve Muhendislik A.S. (Foster Wheeler Bimas), awarded an engineering, procurement and construction management services contract by TUPRAS (Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation) for the Gasoline Specification Improvement Project (GSIP) at the Izmit Refinery in northwest Turkey.


Mustang To Provide Design for Exmar Opti FPS13/01/2007
Mustang Engineering ("Mustang"), a subsidiary of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), has been selected by EXMAR OPTI, Ltd. ("EXMAR") to perform the detail design, procurement and vendor inspection services for the production facilities of EXMAR's OPTI-EXTM Floating Production System (FPS).


CB&I Awarded Refinery Expansion Project In Caribbean16/01/2007
CB&I awarded contract for refinery upgrade project at Caribbean oil refinery. CB&I's scope consists of EPCM and fabrication services associated with the revamp and expansion of the refinery's fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU), along with a 11,500 barrel per day grassroots liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) Merox(TM) unit. The upgrade is part of the refinery's gasoline optimization program.


Mott MacDonald Provides Technical Advisory Support On King Abdullah Economic City17/01/2007
Mott MacDonald providing technical advisory services to EMAAR Properties PJSC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the power and water generation services for the new King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia. Mott MacDonald has been appointed to undertake a feasibility study for the development of the City's power and water generation facilities which are due to be completed in 10 phases with the final stage being in 2026.


BP Plans Construction of Five US Wind Projects17/01/2007
BP Alternative Energy North America Inc. announces that it expects to begin construction on five wind power generation projects in the US in 2007. Located in four states - California, Colorado, North Dakota and Texas - the projects are expected to deliver a combined generation capacity of some 550 megawatts (MW).


Petrofac Secures Additional Karachaganak Award17/01/2007
Petrofac secures contract for detailed engineering, procurement, construction management and commissioning support for the Karachaganak 4th stabilisation and sweetening train. This award follows Petrofac's successful completion of the FEED study for the development. The contract, which is scheduled for completion in mid 2009, will be executed on a part lump sum and part reimbursable basis.


AMEC Berca Indonesia Awarded Tunu Oil and Gas Contract18/01/2007
AMEC Berca Indonesia (ABI), AMEC's Indonesian joint venture company with CCM Group, based in Jakarta, wins US$1million oil and gas engineering design contract on Total E&P Indonesie's Tunu Phase 11 development, Indonesia. ABI will be responsible for detailed engineering work, including pre-engineering, survey, detailed engineering and final documentation for a new utility platform for the Tunu shallow-water gas field in the Mahakam Delta, East Kalimantan.


AMEC Signs Agreement with Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Co18/01/2007
AMEC signes two-year General Service Agreement with China's Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Company (TQNPC), owner/operator of two CANDU nuclear power stations. Under this agreement, AMEC will provide operational support services to TQNPC to assist them in maintaining their plants' excellent performance.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receives contract from Polk County, Florida., to serve as General Engineering Consultant (GEC) under a Master Consulting Agreement. Officials did not disclose the contract value but noted that with options exercised the contract could extend to 10 years.


ICA Fluor Signs Contract to Build Two Modular Cryogenic Plants18/01/2007
ICA Fluor, the industrial engineering and construction company, jointly owned by Fluor Corporation and Empresas ICA, signs contract for engineering, procurement, construction and start-up support services for two modular cryogenic plants for Pemex Gas y Petroquimica Basica.


SNC Lavalin Awarded Greenfield Copper Project20/01/2007
SNC-Lavalin awarded contract by Cobre Las Cruces S.A. (CLC) to carry out engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for processing plant and associated infrastructure at its new greenfield copper project near Gerena, Spain. The contract has a value of approximately CAN$35 million. Cobre Las Cruces is 70% owned by Inmet Mining Corporation and 30% by Leucadia National Corporation.


AMEC Begin Work on Molybdenum Mine Contract24/01/2007
AMEC contracted to help create CND$450 million (approx £193m) molybdenum mine near Atlin, British Columbia for Adanac Molybdenum Corporation. AMEC will provide engineering and procurement services. Detailed engineering and production of working drawings for Adanac's Ruby Creek Molybdenum Project are estimated to take approximately 13 months to complete. Procurement for the facility is required early this year.


CB&I Awarded LNG Liquefaction Project in Peru25/01/2007
CB&I awarded contract by Peru LNG S.R.L. for engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning of a liquefied natural gas liquefaction plant in Pampa Malchorita, Peru, located about 170 kilometers south of Lima. CB&I's commercial scope of work is valued in excess of US$1.5 billion. Peru LNG S.R.L. is a consortium comprised of Hunt Oil Company of the United States, SK Corporation of Korea and Repsol YPF S.A. of Spain.


Foster Wheeler Wins Contract for Expansion of Gas Processing Facility In Tanzania25/01/2007
Foster Wheeler Ltd.'s subsidiary, Foster Wheeler South Africa (PTY) Limited, awarded an engineering and project management consultancy contract by Globeleq for the expansion of the Songo Songo Island gas processing facility in Tanzania. Globeleq, an operating power company solely focused on the emerging markets of Africa, the Americas, and Asia is the owner and operator of the Songas gas-to-electricity project.


Foster Wheeler Awarded EPC Contract for Refinery Project25/01/2007
Foster Wheeler Ltd.'s subsidiary, Foster Wheeler E&C (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., awarded contract by Malaysian Refining Company Sdn. Bhd. (MRC), a joint venture between PETRONAS and ConocoPhillips, for the basic design engineering package (BDEP) and the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPC) for a debottlenecking/revamp project at MRC's PSR-2 Melaka Refinery in Malaysia.


Wood Group Signs Long-term Maintenance Agreement with Suez25/01/2007
Wood Group Gas Turbine Services division awarded 16-year contract by subsidiaries of Suez Energy International ("Suez") for maintenance of eight General Electric Frame 9E Gas Turbines located at the former Al-Rusail Power Company in the Sultanate of Oman. The 16-year contract, worth approximately $92 million, was awarded to Wood Group and includes an innovative, risk sharing arrangement around the management of major maintenance for the 665 MW power plant.


Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex Contract for Foster Wheeler29/01/2007
Foster Wheeler Ltd's two subsidiaries in its Global Engineering and Construction Group, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited and Foster Wheeler India Private Limited, awarded services contracts by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for the Paradip Refinery Project, which is expected to be one of the largest integrated refinery petrochemicals complexes in India. This world-scale facility, comprising a new export refinery and petrochemicals complex, will be built in Orissa State.


TNK-BP Awards Halliburton Multi-Services Contract in Russia29/01/2007
Halliburton's Energy Services Group awarded multi-services contract by TNK-BP for work in the Tyumen region of Russia. Valued at approximately $100 million over three years, with the option for three additional one-year periods, the contract calls for the provision of drilling fluids, waste management services, cementing, drill bits, directional drilling and logging-while-drilling services for the Uvat development, located 600-800 kilometers northeast of the city of Tyumen.


J Ray McDermott Awarded Pipeline Contract in Russia30/01/2007
J. Ray McDermott subsidiary recently awarded a sub-sea pipeline installation project by Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft, LLC (Lukoil), a subsidiary of OJSC LUKOIL Oil Company, for the Yuri Korchagin field which is located 180 kilometers outside Astrakhan city in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.


Mott MacDonald Provides Technical Advisory Services for Middle East Water Project31/01/2007
Mott MacDonald's technical advisory role for the Government of the Sultanate of Oman on what is believed to be the Middle East's first Independent Water Project developed as a BOO (Build Own Operate) reaches fruition. Project agreements relating to delivery of Sur Independent Water Project formally signed at Ministry of National Economy, Muscat, Oman on 17 January 2007.


Technip Awarded Contract for Gas Compression Facilities in UAE31/01/2007
Technip awarded lump sum turnkey contract worth approximately $610 million by Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Limited (ADGAS) for gas compression plants and associated facilities to be located at Das Island, United Arab Emirates. The contract will be executed by Technip's operations and engineering centre in Abu Dhabi.


Jacobs Receives Contract From DSM for Stanyl(R) Facility31/01/2007
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receives contract to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management services for a new facility at DSM's Chemelot site in Sittard-Geleen, The Netherlands, which will produce the high-temperature thermoplastic Stanyl(R). This unique polyamide has a broad range of applications for the automotive and electronic industries. DSM is the world's leading market producer of Stanyl(R).


TransCanada Markets Keystone Pipeline Expansion and Cushing Extension31/01/2007
TransCanada Corporation announces start of a binding Open Season for an expansion and extension of the proposed Keystone Oil Pipeline. The purpose of the Open Season is to obtain binding commitments to support the expansion of the proposed Keystone Pipeline from a nominal capacity of approximately 435,000 barrels per day to 590,000 barrels per day and the construction of a 468-kilometre (291-mile) extension of the U.S. portion of the pipeline from the Nebraska/Kansas border to the refining and terminal hub near Cushing, Oklahoma.


SNC Lavalin Awarded Fort Hills Oil Sands Secondary Upgrader Project05/02/2007
SNC-Lavalin awarded contract by Fort Hills Energy L.P.to provide front end engineering design services for Phase I of the Secondary Upgrader portion of the Fort Hills Oil Sands Project, located in Sturgeon County, 40 km northeast of Edmonton. The work will be carried out from SNC-Lavalin's Montreal office, where this phase of the project is expected to generate approximately 100 jobs.


Foster Wheeler Awarded Longview Power Contract05/02/2007
Foster Wheeler Ltd subsidiary awarded contract by Longview Power, LLC ("Longview") for design and supply of supercritical once-through pulverized coal (PC) steam generator. The generator is for Longview's coal-fired generating facility located in Monongalia County, West Virginia. Longview is a 100 percent-owned subsidiary of GenPower Holdings, L.P., which is jointly owned by GenPower, LLC and First Reserve Corporation. The Longview plant will be one of the largest private investments in the history of West Virginia.


Aker Kvaerner Wins Contract for Modification of Statoil Norne FPSO05/02/2007
Statoil awarded Aker Kvaerner contract for modification of Norne FPSO topside for tie-back of the Alve satellite field. The contract is a full EPCI contract including engineering and procurement, through construction to installation. The contract for the Norne - Alve modification project awarded by Statoil to Aker Kvaerner will be managed by Aker Kvaerner's regional office in Bergen, Norway. Part of the engineering work will be performed at Aker Kvaerner's regional office in Stjørdal, Norway.


Emergency Response Vessels for North Sea07/02/2007
Statoil signs two letters of intent with Danish shipping company Esvagt AS for delivery of two emergency response vessels. The deals are together worth over NOK 900 million. The ships, both newbuildings, will enter service as area emergency response vessels in the North Sea. One of them will operate in the Sleipner/Volve area, replacing the current vessel there, in addition to maintaining upcoming emergency response requirements when the Volve field comes on stream. The other vessel will operate in the Gjøa area.


Total Launches First Integrated CO2 Capture and Geological Sequestration Project in Depleted Natural Gas Field09/02/2007
Total announces launch of pilot CO2 capture and sequestration project in the Lacq basin in southwestern France. The project, which leverages a technique considered among the most promising in the fight against climate change, calls for up to 150,000 metric tons of CO2 to be injected into a depleted natural gas field in Rousse (Pyrenees) over a period of two years as from end-2008.


Acergy Awarded EPIC Contract in Norway09/02/2007
Acergy S.A. awarded contract by Marathon Petroleum Company (Norway) for pipelay and construction work on the Volund field offshore Norway. The $140 million contract is for the engineering, procurement, installation, tie-in and pre-commissioning of some 30 kilometres of production, gas lift and water injection pipelines, a control umbilical, a 160 tonne production manifold and a choke and metering structure in addition to the installation, hookup and commissioning of a subsea control system.


Technip-Subsea 7 J.V. Awarded Contract in New Zealand13/02/2007
Technip-Subsea 7 Joint Venture awarded contract by New Zealand Overseas Petroleum Limited for Tui Area development, located approximately 30 miles off the Taranaki coastline, New Zealand, in a water depth of 125 meters. The joint venture contract, valued around US $30 million, includes the project management, engineering, transportation, installation and pre-commissioning.


Statoil Awarded Gjøa Platform Quarters Job13/02/2007
A contract worth some NOK 450 million to build living quarters for Gjøa platform in the North Sea awarded by operator Statoil to Leirvik Module Technology AS. Covering a unit complete with helideck and lifeboat station, this engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) job will be executed at Stord south of Bergen.


Technip Awarded Contract for the Arthit Field Development13/02/2007
Technip awarded contract by exploration and production subsidiary of national petroleum company of Thailand, PTT (Petroleum Authority of Thailand), for basic and detailed engineering of four generic wellhead platforms with associated subsea pipelines and tie-ins.


Jacobs Receives Contract for Advanced Manufacturing Project15/02/2007
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receives contract from Teijin Twaron B.V. (TT) to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management services as part of the "NIKKO Project" being implemented at TT's existing site in Emmen, The Netherlands. Jacobs will execute the work from its office in Leiden, The Netherlands.


Wood Group Awarded Contract in Indonesia by Star Energy15/02/2007
PT Wood Group Indonesia, part of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), awarded three year contract by Star Energy to provide maintenance management system and technical services for the Kakap field. Wood Group will be responsible for setting up an integrated maintenance management system for the 4 Platform complex located in the Natuna Sea and will be directly responsible for maintaining selected field equipment.


Foster Wheeler Awarded FEED/PMC Contract for New Petrochemicals Complex in Saudi Arabia15/02/2007
Foster Wheeler Ltd's subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, awarded front-end engineering design (FEED) and project management consultancy (PMC) services contract by Osos Petrochemicals Company (which company is in formation) for a planned new petrochemicals complex to produce polybutylene terephthalate at Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Wood Group Gas Turbine Services Wins Power Plant Contracts21/02/2007
Subsidiaries of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC's Gas Turbine Services Division ("Wood Group", "WG GTS") awarded three turnkey contracts, valued at approximately $195 million, by American Electric Power to construct and commission three peaking power plant facilities during 2007.


Chevron Awarded FERC Approval for Casotte Landing Project21/02/2007
Chevron Corporation receives approval from Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to build the proposed Casotte Landing regasification facility in Jackson County, Miss., adjacent to the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery. Proposed Casotte Landing project would process liquefied natural gas for distribution to industrial, commercial and residential customers in Mississippi, Florida and the Northeast.


AMEC Wins Design Contract on Coal-To-Chemicals Development22/02/2007
AMEC appointed by Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group (SNCG) to carry out initial engineering design for offsite and utility facilities on US$1.5 billion coal-to-chemical production complex in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in north west China. Working from the company's Shanghai offices, AMEC's engineers will provide the basic engineering and design needed to define and integrate all the common, site-wide systems required to service the six individual process units within the facility.


Jacobs Receives Contract From Indian Oil Corporation22/02/2007

Jacobs Receives Contract For New CCGT Power Plant22/02/2007
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receives contract from POWEO Production to provide owner engineer support for a new power plant at Pont-sur-Sambre (59), France. This facility will be the first production unit operated by POWEO Group; it has been an electricity trader on the French energy market for almost 4 years.


Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil to Launch Barzan Gas Project22/02/2007
Qatar Petroleum and Exxon Mobil Corporation announced that Qatar Petroleum has offered participation in the Barzan gas project and rights for participation in all future phases of the project to ExxonMobil Middle East Marketing Ltd. (ExxonMobil). In parallel with these discussions, the two entities have collectively decided not to progress the Gas to Liquids (GTL) project and instead to pursue the development of the Barzan Project in the North Field.


J. Ray McDermott Awarded North Belut Contract22/02/2007
McDermott International, Inc. ("McDermott") announced today that a subsidiary of J. Ray McDermott, S.A. ("J. Ray") was awarded a $125 million contract during the fourth quarter of 2006 for the fabrication, offshore hook-up and commissioning of the North Belut Central Processing Platform ("CPP") topsides and a connecting bridge from the CPP to the Wellhead Platform.


Chinese Joint Venture Projects Signed28/02/2007
Sinopec, Fujian Province, ExxonMobil and Saudi Aramco* sign contract for Fujian Refining and Ethylene Joint Venture Project. At the same time, Sinopec, ExxonMobil and Saudi Aramco have signed the contract for the Fujian Fuels Marketing Joint Venture Project. The signing of the two joint venture contracts marks significant milestones in the development of China's first fully integrated Sino-foreign projects that involve refining, petrochemicals and fuels and chemicals marketing.
