Westinghouse Electric Company awarded contract to provide Primary Side Chemistry Monitoring Systems for Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) Units 5 and 6 in Bulgaria. Westinghouse will supply the hardware system, as well as project management, system integration, site activities and installation.

Technip Awarded Contract For Kupe Gas Project11/09/2006
Technip awarded reimbursable ("cost plus fee") contract worth approximately USD 200 million by Origin Energy Resources (Kupe) Limited ("Origin") for the overall development of the Kupe Gas Project. The development is located in the Taranaki Basin, 30km off the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand.

Aker Kvaerner Wins Project at Aguas Teñidas Mine in Spain11/09/2006
Aker Kvaerner awarded letter of intent for deliveries to Iberian Minerals Corporation's (formerly PGM Ventures) new processing plant at its Aguas Teñidas mine in southwest Spain. The scope includes engineering, procurement, commissioning and construction management services. This award follows the successful completion by Aker Kvaerner of the design study for the copper, zinc and lead processing plant at the mine.


Abbot Group Wins New Rigs Contract14/09/2006
Abbot Group's land rig design engineering and fabrication subsidiary, Bentec, awarded US$65 million contract by Eurasia Drilling, formerly the drilling subsidiary of Lukoil, for four 250 tonne fast moving hybrid rigs, derived from Bentec's original HR5000 design. Work will commence immediately with the first rig being delivered in 12 months time and the other three by the end of 2007.


Foster Wheeler Wins CFB Boiler Contract in The Netherlands14/09/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's German and Dutch subsidiaries, Foster Wheeler Energie GmbH and Foster Wheeler Europe B.V., both part of its Global Power Group, awarded turnkey contract to design, supply and erect a circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) boiler island for NV Huisvuilcentrale Noord-Holland's new biomass power station to be built at its existing waste incineration plant in the town of Alkmaar in The Netherlands.


Foster Wheeler Awarded Delayed Coker Contract By BP14/09/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Iberia, S.A., part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, awarded detailed engineering, procurement and construction supervision contract by BP Oil Refineria de Castellon, S.A. (BP) for new delayed coker at BP's Castellon Refinery in Spain.


Foster Wheeler Awarded EPC Contract for New Chemical Facility18/09/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's UK subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, and its Singapore subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., both part of its Global Engineering and Construction group, awarded a reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Lucite International Singapore Pte. Ltd. (LISPL) for a new methyl methacrylate (MMA) manufacturing facility to be built on Jurong Island, Singapore.


Angola Contract Award for Subsea 718/09/2006
Subsea 7 awarded contract by Esso Angola Ltd. for work associated with the Kizomba C Saxi-Batuque project in Block 15 offshore Angola. The Saxi-Batuque project will be developed using a conversion FPSO host with tie back of two drill centres for Batuque and two drill centres for Saxi. Subsea 7 will perform the design, pipe fabrication and installation of 16 steel flowlines and their accompanying flowline terminations.


Portlands Energy Centre Signs Accelerated Clean Energy Supply Contract19/09/2006
Portlands Energy Centre L.P. signs 20 year Accelerated Clean Energy Supply (ACES) contract with Ontario Power Authority for Portlands Energy Centre (PEC), a 550 megawatt high-efficiency, combined cycle natural gas generation plant to be constructed in downtown Toronto. PEC is a limited partnership of Ontario Power Generation and TransCanada Energy Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of TransCanada Corporation.

Jacobs Receives Qatar Petroleum Contract21/09/2006
Jacobs Engineering receives services and infrastructure contract for the design of new Qatar Petroleum (QP) complex in Doha, Qatar. Jacobs will work with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) to develop an approximately 600,000 square meter site within the Lusail commercial development located on the new Al-Khor expressway just outside of the northern Doha city limits.


China National BlueStar Contract for Shaw Group22/09/2006
Shaw Group's Stone & Webster unit selected to license and supply process design services for its Purification and Recovery Technology to China National BlueStar (Group) Corporation, a top chemical company in China . The technology, which enables the recovery of ethylene and propylene from a Catalytic Pyrolysis Processing (CPP) unit, will be applied in BlueStar's Shenyang Paraffin-Wax Chemical Co. (SPCC), Shenyang Chemical Group Corporation's 135,000 tons per year ethylene plant in Liaoning Province, China.


Foster Wheeler Undertakes Development Study for Browse LNG22/09/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, has been engaged by Woodside Energy Ltd. to undertake a study for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) development that will process gas from the Browse gas fields, off the coast of Western Australia.


BP Plans $3 Bn Project to Refine More Canadian Heavy Crude Oil25/09/2006
BP enters final planning stage of a $3 billion investment in Canadian heavy crude oil processing at its Whiting Refinery located in northwest Indiana. BP America Inc. Chairman and President Bob Malone said the company intends to reconfigure its Whiting Refinery so most of its feedstock can be heavy Canadian crude oil.


Foster Wheeler-Led JV Wins Saudi Aramco Khurais EPC Contract25/09/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's joint venture led by Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, part of the Global Engineering and Construction Group, with Korea's Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd., awarded lump-sum turnkey engineering, procurement and construction contract by Saudi Aramco for Khurais Gas Facility, part of the Khurais Central Processing Facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Aker Kvaerner Awarded PTA Contract in China25/09/2006
Aker Kvaerner has signed a contract with JiaLong Petrochemical Fiber Company Limited to provide the basic engineering design and technical advisory services for JiaLong's new Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) plant to be built at its petrochemical complex in ShiShi, Fujian Province, People's Republic of China.


Foster Wheeler Enters into License Agreement for CFB Steam Generator Technology25/09/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's subsidiary Foster Wheeler North America Corp., enters into fifteen-year agreement with Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. ("Doosan") to provide a technology license for subcritical pressure circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) steam generator projects in Korea, the Indian subcontinent and certain other regions. The agreement also contemplates Foster Wheeler collaborating with Doosan on certain engineering, procurement, and construction opportunities.


CB&I Wins Award for LNG Expansion Project in Australia25/09/2006
CB&I awarded contract valued in excess of US$200 million by Woodside Energy Ltd., operator of the North West Shelf Venture onshore gas plant near Karratha, Western Australia. CB&I will be the mechanical erection contractor for construction of a fifth liquefied natural gas production train with a design capacity of 4.2 million tonnes per year.


Saipem Awarded New Contracts for Onshore Construction25/09/2006
Saudi Aramco award Saipem, through its subsidiary Snamprogetti, lump sum turn key contract for the EPC of the gas-oil separation plant, as part of the program for the development of the Khurais field. Peru LNG award Saipem, in conjunction with Constructora Norberto Odebrecht (CNO) and Jan de Nul Group, contract for the development of Marine Export Facilities at the Pampa Melchorita LNG facility South of Lima.


Shaw Awarded Additional EPC Contract for FGD Scrubbers03/10/2006
Shaw Stone and Webster unit, along with consortium partner, Alstom Environmental Control Systems, awarded engineering, procurement and construction contract by Duke Energy Carolinas, a unit of Duke Energy, to retrofit coal-fired generating units at Duke's Allen Steam Station in Gaston County, North Carolina with flue gas desulphurization (FGD) units, also known as "scrubbers."

Foster Wheeler Receives Delayed Coker Award03/10/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's subsidiary, Foster Wheeler USA Corporation awarded contract by CJSC Nizhnekamsk Refinery to provide process design package for Foster Wheeler's Selective Yield Delayed Coking (SYDEC(SM)) process. The coker will be part of a new integrated refining and petrochemical grassroots complex to be constructed at Nizhnekamsk, in the Republic of Tatarstan, part of the Russian Federation.


Gjøa Semisubmersible Platform to Aker Kvaerner03/10/2006
Statoil and Aker Kvaerner sign memorandum of understanding for contract for semisubmersible platform to be located at Gjøa field offshore Norway. Detailed engineering will be headed from Aker Kvaerner's office in Oslo, and significant part of the engineering hours will be carried out by Aker Kvaerner's engineering entity in Mumbai in India. In total, more than 500 Aker Kvaerner engineers will be mobilised to design the platform and the peak manning will reach 2000 persons. The platform will be constructed at Aker Kvaerner Stord AS, who also is Statoil ASA's contract partner. Several Aker Kvaerner companies will deliver to Gjøa.


Subsea 7 Awarded EPIC Contract Offshore Angola04/10/2006
Subsea 7 awarded contract offshore Angola by Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron Corporation. The EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning) work scope, with a value of approximately US$ 290 million, is for the development of the Tombua and Landana fields in Block 14, offshore the Province of Cabinda in Angola. The project is to tie-back a subsea well center, located approximately 9 km from the new Tombua Landana Compliant Production Tower.


Fluor Awarded Contract Nuclear Cleanup Work at Hanford04/10/2006
Fluor Corporation has announced that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded Fluor Hanford, a unit of the Fluor Government Group, a contract extension for its nuclear cleanup work at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington state. The contract extension is for up to two years and will run through 30 September 2008.

Wood Group Joint Venture Wins Major BP Contract in Trinidad29/09/2006
Neal & Massy Wood Group (NMWG), a Trinidadian company jointly owned by Neal & Massy Holdings Ltd and John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), awarded five-year integrated maintenance contract by BP. The contract includes the provision of minor modifications and integrated maintenance services for all BP's offshore platforms and relevant upstream facilities in Trinidad.


Wood Group Wins Major Aramco Contract06/10/2006
Wood Group Pressure Control ("WGPC"), part of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), receives two contracts from Saudi Aramco for long-term supply of wellhead assemblies and valves. Contracts cover the sale to Aramco of various wellhead assemblies and valves from several Saudi Aramco approved WGPC facilities around the world, and the establishment of an in-Kingdom manufacturing facility to supply Saudi Aramco's onshore and offshore oil and gas production well sites.


Statoil to Build CHP Plant at Mongstad30/10/2006
Combined heat and power (CHP) plant to be built by Statoil at Mongstad near Bergen following the receipt of a carbon dioxide emission permit from Norway's Ministry of the Environment. The group has already secured a licence from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate to build this facility at the site, where it has a refinery and crude oil terminal.

Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil Chemical Qatar Limited, a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation, sign Heads of Agreement (HOA) to progress studies for proposed $3 billion world-scale petrochemical complex in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar.


Jacobs Receives Contract to Support Design of Fusion Facility31/10/2006
Jacobs Engineering Group receives contract to deliver design services to the EC through EFDA (European Fusion Development Agreement) in the frame of the international collaboration for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) facility to be built at Cadarache, near Aix-en-Provence, France.
