UKAEA sets out its plans to make safe for future generations one of the most hazardous legacies of the fast reactor experiment at Dounreay with confirmation of its intention to solidify liquid waste from the reprocessing of fast reactor fuel using cement instead of glass.  |
| Babcock Receive Contract Extension from Ministry of Defence | 03/06/2005 |
Babcock Naval Services awarded five and a half year extension to the partnering agreement by Ministry of Defence at HM Naval Base Clyde. Contract extension is valued at circa £400 million and will extend the relationship between BNS and the MoD at HM Naval Base Clyde until 2013.  |

Fluor awarded contract by Project Management & Development Company, Ltd., of Saudi Arabia to provide front-end engineering and design and project management consultancy services for the $3.5 billion Jubail petrochemicals complex. Work on project is already under way in Fluor's Camberley, UK, office. Site work is

KCA DEUTAG awarded three-year contract, with two optional one-year extensions, for the provision of ad-hoc snubbing services on the BP-operated Shah Deniz Gas Export Project. KCA DEUTAG will be supported by, and work in conjunction with, International Snubbing Services Inc. (ISS).  |

Foster Wheeler Energy Limited awarded PMS contract by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation for grassroots facility associated with the removal of ethane, propane and butane from LNG to be constructed at Dahej, Gujarat, northwest India.  |
| Vetco Awarded Hydro Contract to Modify Njord Platform | 21/06/2005 |
Hydro awards Vetco Aibel contract for modification of Njord platform on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, in preparation for gas export. Work starts immediately and is be completed in August 2007. Njord platform will start to export gas through the Åsgard Transportation System from October 2007.  |
| Tampen Link Pipeline Awarded by Statoil to Saipem UK | 30/06/2005 |
Contract worth about NOK 160 million for laying the Tampen Link pipeline in the North Sea awarded by operator Statoil to Saipem UK. This transport facility is due to run for 23 kilometres from Statoil's Statfjord field and tie into the British Flags system, which links Brent with St Fergus in Scotland.  |

Lewis Wind Power, a joint venture of AMEC and British Energy, welcomed vote by the Western Isles Council (Comhairle nan Eilean Siar) to recommend that Scottish Ministers approve the development of the world's largest onshore wind farm on the Isle of Lewis, off the north west coast of Scotland.  |

Foster Wheeler Energy Limited awarded FEED and project management services contract by Saudi Aramco for Khurais full-field development in Saudi Arabia. Foster Wheeler's scope of work includes a grassroots central processing facility at Khurais, upgrade of support facilities at the Ju'aymah gas plant, inter-field pipelines, utilities and product handling/storage/infrastructure and support facilities.  |
| BP Contracts Awarded For Subsea Operations | 02/08/2005 |
BP awards new federal call-off contracts to Stolt Offshore, Subsea 7, Caldive (Wellops UK) and Technip Offshore UK for its subsea operations. The contracts cover marine vessel related operations for BP's subsea construction, decommissioning, inspection, repair and maintenance requirements.  |

Petrofac awarded long-term contract with Marathon Oil. The contract covers the provision of Engineering, Construction, Operations and Maintenance services for the Brae field in the North Sea and Engineering and Construction services for Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.  |

Wood Group Heavy Industrial Turbines awarded $9 million, six year gas turbine maintenance contract at Fellside Heat and Power Ltd in Cumbria, by MBpx, a consortium comprising the px group and Mitsui Babcock in the UK, responsible for the Operations and Maintenance at Fellside Heat and Power Ltd.  |
