ENI UK, the Italian owned oil & gas company, plans to consolidate UK operations in London and close in Aberdeen. Up to 60 job losses are expected with around 53 posts moved to London and 50 transferring to Canadian Natural Resources.  |
| Technip Awarded Subsea Services Contract | 29/07/2004 |
Technip Offshore UK awarded contract by Amerada Hess, worth around 37m (£25m), to provide subsea services management for UK North Sea assets. Technip will provide, inspection, repair and maintenance and engineering and execution services over three years. Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants will provide engineering support.  |

AMEC awarded £10 million contract by Petro-Canada Netherlands for engineering, design and procurement services for the De Ruyter development in the Dutch sector of the Southern North Sea.  |
| FluorAMEC Awarded Extension to Australian Contract | 03/08/2004 |
FluorAmec JV awarded follow-on contract for the Enfield FPSO facility. Engineering and procurement will be provided from Enfield's project office in Perth, with support from Fluor's offices in Houston, Texas, and Manila, the Philippines, and AMEC's office in Aberdeen.  |

Kvaerner Oilfield Products selected by Dominion Exploration & Production, Inc. to provide the production control system and steel tube umbilicals for its Triton/Goldfinger tieback to the Devil's Tower. The production control system will utilize manufacturing facilities in Aberdeen and Houston.  |

Around 100 offshore contractors down tools on BP's Clair platform in a pay dispute. Amec and Rigblast contractors withdrew labour after a promise to give them guaranteed overtime payments was withdrawn.  |
| ScottishPower's Windfarm Proposals Move Forward | 20/08/2004 |
Planning permission granted for ScottishPower's proposed 30MW windfarm at Beinn Tharsuinn near Alness. Local suppliers will be encouraged to enter into the tendering process which will include contracts for site construction.  |
| Talisman Energy to Build Offshore Wind Farm in North Sea | 27/08/2004 |
Talisman Energy (UK) is to construct a £24m deepwater wind farm demonstrator project adjacent to the Talisman operated Beatrice Field, 25km off the east coast of Scotland. A number of jobs will be created in Scotland and other parts of the UK.  |

Mott MacDonald and its Turkish partner Temelsu win contract to provide advisory, design and construction supervision services on the £41m World Bank-supported Drainage, Irrigation and Wetland Improvement Project in Uzbekistan.  |
| Aker Kvaerner Win £35m Contract for Total | 07/09/2004 |
New £35m contract awarded to Aker Kvaerner by Total E&P UK. Aberdeen-based Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner will be responsible for supporting operations and maintenance at Total's St Fergus gas terminal and on the Elgin/Franklin offshore assets in the North Sea.  |

Jacobs selected by INEOS Fluor to provide project management, construction management, engineering, and procurement services for the expansion of KLEA 125 (HFC 125 refrigerant) production at INEOS Fluor's Runcorn facility in England.  |

Foster Wheeler Energy Limited awarded engineering contract by OAO Salavatnefteorgsintez (SNOS) for a multimillion dollar fluidized catalytic cracking complex to be built at the Salavat Refinery, Salavat City, Russia.  |
| Wood Group Engineering Wins BP Contract in North Sea | 07/09/2004 |
Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) reappointed as one of BP's two main engineering, modifications and maintenance providers to its assets in the North Sea. Contract is worth up to £135m over three years.  |

Costain selected by Dwr Cymru Welsh Water as one of its preferred partners for the delivery of its Asset Management Programme, Asset Investment and Asset Operations contracts worth more than £300m per year. Contract to commence April 2005.  |
| Shell Renews Contract With Wood Group | 16/09/2004 |
Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) reappointed by Shell U.K. to provide EMSC services to its onshore assets. The contract worth approximately £25m over two years, will secure employment for around 200 Wood Group employees.  |
